Smokefree Sefton is looking for someone to join their team as the new Youth Tobacco and Nicotine Prevention Officer.
The purpose of the role is to work with relevant partners to develop strategies and resources that will help to prevent young people from smoking and using vapes.
Smokefree Sefton’s aim is to support people in understanding why they smoke, to identify and manage any cravings, and offer advice around relapse prevention.
This new role will build on the team’s offer of stop smoking support by delivering the service in a variety of settings within the community, such as school’s youth clubs, family wellbeing centres, community centres etc. The type of support offered will be variable and a mixture of face to face, telephone, and digital will depend on which type of support is best suited to the child/young person.
