The COVID-19 vaccination programme continues to be rolled out in Sefton – the biggest in NHS history – and GP-led services in the borough are looking for volunteers to help support the safe and smooth running of this work.
Registered charity Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS), local Primary Care Network groupings and the clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in Sefton, are working in partnership to register and mobilise volunteers to support the vaccination programme.
A coordinated effort is important to ensure that as many people as possible across Sefton receive the vaccination safely and effectively.
The programme is designed so that people can sign-up to volunteer in a range of different roles, depending on availability and preference.
Initially volunteers are being sought to help at the Bootle and Maghull Vaccination Centres.
