A stitch in time…

Sefton’s seamstresses are invited to join Venus every Thursday to take part in it’s sewing group Sew and Sew.

Open to all levels of skill – whether you struggle to thread a needle or have years of experience – all are welcome along to the Venus Centre in Bootle.

Taking place every Thursday from 10am-12pm, the women of Sefton are invited to get together, skill share and ultimately get creative.

The benefits of this group to mental wellbeing are great and it allows members to learn new skills, connect with each other and take notice of their actions.

Lorraine Webb, Chief Executive at Venus, says:  “Learning a new skill enhances self-esteem, can help lift depression and increase higher levels of general wellbeing.”

For more information about the services offered by Venus visit www.venuscharity.org or call 0151 474 4744.

The Venus Charity is supporting the ‘30 Days of Sefton In Mind’ Campaign – to spread the word about local services and activities available to people in Sefton to improve their mental health.
