Sefton Young Carers support young people who have a caring responsibility at home.  By connecting young carers to each other they soon realise that they are not alone and that there are people around them who can help. 

One young carer aged 10 said: “I thought I was the only one?  I didn’t know other children went through the same things as me?”

They currently run online activities/groups via WhatsApp and Microsoft Teams.  They are hoping to resume their usual programme in the new year, including:

• School-based work
• Young carers after school clubs
• Day trips
• Residential programmes
• 1:1 support
• Family support
