How to access Litherland Walk-in Centre

COVID-19 update: Litherland Walk-in Centre based in Hatton Hill Road, Litherland, has temporarily changed the way in which it works.

Open access will still be available to all, however to reduce the number of face-to-face consultations, patients will now be triaged over the phone based on clinical need.

There are the two possible routes to access the walk-in centre:

Patients displaying Covid-19 symptoms – patients registered with a South Sefton Practice can consult with their GP in the first instance and, where necessary, a face to face appointment will be made at the walk-in centre by their GP, during the hours of 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week.

Alternatively, all patients (regardless of which GP practice they are registered with) can also make a self-referral by using the telephone triage system on 0300 100 1004.

Patients without Covid-19 symptoms – If a patient is otherwise well, with no Covid-19 symptoms but has a minor injury, or in need of wound care; they can still access a separate part of the walk-in centre for treatment, between the hours of 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. However they must still call in advance on 0300 100 1004.

Out of hours patients will also be able to access the service through NHS111, GP extra and the out of hours GP service.

For further advice and help, patients are being asked to contact their GP or NHS111 in the first instance, who will assist further.
