Age Concern Crosby and the Plaza Community Cinema are putting on their latest Flicks and Friends film next Tuesday (19th) at 1pm.

Hidden Figures is based on a true story about three brilliant African-American women at NASA — Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe).

They serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn (Glen Powell) into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race and galvanized the world.Poster Hidden Figures

Chris Dale, Administrator with Age Concern Crosby, says: “Come along and join us and bring your friends. There is NO need to book . Just come along with your £1 on Tuesday at 1pm.”
