To coincide with our first anniversary, Living Well Sefton, we are supporting a World Mental Health Day event at Hugh Baird College.
Living Well Sefton and two of its partners – the Feelgood Factory and the May Logan Centre – will be at the Bootle-based college to raise awareness of how paying attention to your mental wellbeing is an important part to feeling good.
Access Sefton, the free and confidential service to help those with anxiety or depression, is organising the event with Hugh Baird and have put together a selection of workshops designed to get people thinking about their mental wellbeing. Living Well Sefton mentor, Natasha, is providing chair-based yoga sessions.
There is also a chance for those attending between 10am and 3pm to win a variety of prizes including restaurant and shop vouchers as well as LFC and EFC football goodies.
Boosting wellbeing is one of the key messages from the ‘30 Days of Sefton In Mind’ Campaign which Living Well Sefton is supporting by working with Sefton Council and the local CCGs to spread the word about local services and activities available to people in Sefton.
In England, one in six people report experiencing anxiety and depression in any given week and the #SeftonInMind Campaign aims to encourage people to talk about how they feel and make use of the many activities in Sefton that make people feel better about themselves.
