Tend to your wellbeing

Get your green fingers at the ready and go outside to do some gardening to mark allotment fortnight and support the 30 days of Sefton in Mind Campaign.

The benefits of gardening are endless, not only does it get you outside and moving but it also helps make your surroundings a lovely place to be in.

Getting involved with community gardening projects such as Brighter Living Partnership’s gardening club in Southport on a Tuesday 11am-1pm or – in Bootle – Inclusion Network’s Community Gardening and Allotment or May Logan’s Roots gardening initiative, can also help you to connect with others and keep active together.

Use gardening as an excuse to take a breather from everyday life and get outdoors to de-stress and help to make our borough beautiful.

There are lots of allotments available throughout the borough, visit the Sefton Council website to find out more. For more details about the projects mentioned above contact us on 0300 323 0181.

Together with Sefton Council, we are supporting the ‘30 Days of Sefton In Mind’ Campaign – to spread the word about local services and activities available to people in Sefton to improve their mental health.
